What Is a Withdrawal Address
A withdrawal address is the recipient's wallet address, similar to a bank account number. Each cryptocurrency and network has a different address format, and they must match correctly for funds to arrive.
How to Get the Recipient Address
- Transferring to another exchange: Find the corresponding coin's deposit address on that exchange's "Deposit" page
- Transferring to a wallet: Find the corresponding coin's receive address in the wallet APP
- Transferring to a friend: Ask them to provide their receiving address
How to Fill It In
- Select the coin on the Binance withdrawal page
- Paste the recipient address in the "Address" field (do not type manually -- it's error-prone)
- Select the same network as the recipient
- If a Memo/Tag is required, be sure to fill it in (needed for coins like XRP, EOS)
- Enter the amount and carefully verify all information
Common Address Formats
- ERC20 addresses: Start with "0x," 42 characters
- TRC20 addresses: Start with "T," 34 characters
- BTC addresses: Start with "1," "3," or "bc1"
- BNB (BEP20) addresses: Start with "0x," same format as ERC20
Critical Reminder
The address and network must match perfectly. For example, if you select the TRC20 network, you must use a TRC20 address. Entering an ERC20 address on the TRC20 network means your funds may be permanently unrecoverable. It's recommended to send a small test amount for your first transfer.
