Binance futures trading fee standards and methods to reduce fees.

Understanding futures trading fees is essential for calculating trading costs. After registering on Binance, you can check specific rates. Download the Binance APP to see real-time fee information on the futures page.

Base Fee Rates

Binance USDT-margined futures base rates:

  • Maker (limit order): 0.02%
  • Taker (market order): 0.05%

Coin-margined futures base rates:

  • Maker: 0.01%
  • Taker: 0.05%

Funding Rate

Holding perpetual futures positions involves a funding rate, settled every 8 hours. The funding rate can be positive or negative, depending on the balance between long and short market forces.

Fee Calculation Example

Suppose you open a 1,000 USDT BTC long position with 10x leverage:

  • Opening fee (Taker): 1,000 x 0.05% = 0.5 USDT
  • Closing fee (Taker): Approximately 0.5 USDT
  • Total fees approximately 1 USDT

How to Reduce Fees

  • Hold BNB and enable fee deduction for a 10% discount
  • Use limit orders (Maker rates are lower)
  • Upgrade your VIP level for lower rates
  • Registering through a referral code may provide additional discounts

With frequent futures trading, fees accumulate quickly. Using limit orders whenever possible can significantly reduce costs.
